Whenever I see an ambulance speeding down the road, I always silently pray, “Please keep the person, whoever they are rushing to safe/alive. Don’t let them die today”. Does anyone else do that?

I just heard an ambulance now, and I realized I do that subconsciously!

A couple of years ago, I dislocated my shoulder while I was in the swimming pool. I was screaming my guts out! Someone called 911 and my husband. The paramedics came and took me to the hospital. I was given morphine to reduce my pain.

I remember asking one of the paramedics if I was going to die. He laughed and assured me no one has died over a dislocated shoulder. I would like to remind you once again, I was on morphine…I couldn’t stop talking and asking questions.

I also asked will they amputate my arm since it seemed ‘useless’. He once again assured me that my hand will be as good as new in a couple of months.

Well, after a month of physiotherapy my arm was all better!

  1. My immediate thought is “God bless them.” (I also think the same when I pass by a homeless person.) The thought can mean many things but for me it means, “God please bless them with another chance.” And after reading your post, I’m happy I’m not alone! I always felt like I was for some reason!
    Have an amazing day.

    Blessings and love.
