It has been a rainy, windy and cold, almost depressing day. But I didn’t want to stay at home too. So we went out for a drive and when that got boring went to Barnes & Noble which immediately brightens my mood. Going to bookstores has always been fun and exciting to me. Even though I think most books are overpriced… looking at them makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. I always manage to buy a couple of books from the bargain section.
This is the first book I bought today. I loved reading Devil Wears Prada and this is the second book and I had to buy it! Looked interesting will let you know if I loved it or not.
This book I had to absolutely buy! I have grown up reading Archie’s comics and it had been a while since I saw these books in the store. I remember the school days reading them under my blanket with a torch light way past my bed time… fun days. As soon as I saw it, I grabbed it and it was the only book available. It was like I was meant to buy it and read it.
Jughead is my all time favorite character. He loves food and is very lazy… and guess what!! I am lazy and love food too! 🙂

SKIP THE DIET, JUST EAT HEALTHY!
My morning started with a sharp pain in my right lower abdomen. Horrible, horrible pain… I’m guessing something I ate the previous night didn’t agree with me. I had 2 cups of chamomile tea…loads and loads of water. Hot compress did help a little too. I felt better after a couple of HOURS! Soon the pain returned and I was scared and after a second session of crying, I called my husband from work…. He rushed home (he is so amazing). As soon as he came home , the pain had reduced. Drank more water. Soon I was exhausted and I fell asleep and slept for a good 2 hours. My husband made rice for me and I ate that with Yoghurt (Indian bland food), which I must say was really soothing to my stomach. The stomach ache was all gone…like it never existed!
Just when I thought I am done with dealing with pain for the day, the end up with a horrible headache… initially I thought it was because I didn’t get my daily dose of caffeine but then I realized it was sinusitis! Luckily I have a humidifier and I had my face close to it for a past couple of hours and now it seems like my sinuses have cleared!
So finally I am pain free (knock on wood). I am so glad this painful day is over.

I am SO excited to post this painting I completed yesterday and is already hung on my wall. I had started drawing and painting this a couple of weeks ago, but was soon side tracked with other drawings. So yesterday, I was finally motivated enough to complete it.
I have no clue why I am always fascinated with drawing Disney characters… but I am, since I can remember!

For the past couple of months I have been neglecting my workouts. I blame the winters, all I wanted to do was to wrap myself around blankets and binge watch Netflix! Netflix can be addicting…
I have a gym in my apartment complex, but wearing layers and layers of clothes to go to the gym didn’t seem worth it. Also, I am more of an outdoor person… I like walking, riding my bike or the occasional running and breathing fresh air. Naturally, since I wasn’t able to do any of them…there may have been some gain in lbs. (I can neither confirm nor deny it). I am not fat, but I don’t feel fit. Though I did workout, I wasn’t religious with it.
So, this Sunday I decided I need to do something about it. I decided to journal my workouts to keep myself accountable.
Sunday: Husband and I went on a 4 mile walk for 65 mins. By the time we reached home none of us could feel our fingers and toes! (Too cold weather).
Calories burnt: 350 (not a lot, but every calorie counts).
Monday: Walked on the treadmill for 65 mins without any break, distance covered 2.8 miles
Speed: 2.8 Incline: 8.5
Calories burnt: 600
Drinking chocolate milk after every workout is the best for post workout recovery.
I eat healthy and eat out only once a week.

I have used HB, 2B and 4B Pencils for these drawings. The turtle took around 20-25 minutes to finish, but the horse took forever…. mainly to fill in the design with dots and I lack patience ( ha ha)!
But I am happy with the way they turned out at the end.
